Richard served a full 4 year apprenticeship, training as a saddle maker with Europe's leading saddle manufacturer "Albion Saddlemakers" of Walsall, England.

Within the apprenticeship all aspects of saddle making are learnt from leather preparation and tree construction to final assembly of the saddles and saddle fitting.
